Picture this, you're looking at your desk area and your have it all organized and layed out with a beautiful vase of flowers. You may have a pretty desk lamp with a stylish lampshade that coordinates with the colors your have carefully picked out for your room. You may also have some polished silver or gold desk accessories and color coordinating file folders and planners. And then you pick up your pen to do some very important work and ____________
____SCREECH!!!! It's a boring old plastic uninteresting ball point pen. This will not do. You can make some of these beautiful beaded pens yourself. They can be customized to match your decor, holiday, personality, occasion, anything. All you need are some beadable pens and wide holed beads of your choice. I ordered my beadable pens online from Karen Thomas Designs. There are so mane colors to choose from as well as other beadable products. She also sell beads. I chose to find some beads in my local craft stores. Here's what I came up with. I took this picture at night so the lighting is terrible.  There are better pics below of each one.

Now here are the brighter close ups of the pens I made. What do you think? Pretty right?

Pink/Lavender bead combo with silver metal pen base.

Light green bead combo with silver metal pen base.

Blue/white bead combo with silver metal pen base.

Brown/gold bead combo with gold metal pen base.

Tan/gold bead combo with gold metal pen base.

Last but not least, Red bead combo with red metal pen base.

So what did you think? I think they're lovely. The beads I found at Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Store. If you decide to make a few for yourself, I know you'll enjoy it. They also make great gifts. I hope you enjoyed this craft idea. I'll see you soon.
